A few days ago we went to the new McDonald's here. They had just opened that day and there was a big crowd. The McDonald's that we went to isn't the first one in Bangalore; there are a few others. They are very different than American ones, for instance the first thousand to order a Happy Meal got a large backpack in addition to a regular prize (we didn't know until we had ordered so we didn't get one)! They only had "McSpicy" items so that is what we all ordered. So you'd think it would be love at first bite, but it was definitely not! It was soooooo spicy that we couldn't handle it so even though we went for Mom, Andrew and me, Dad and Shadow and Lassie ended up eating it all! Sorry to all McDonald's fans, I think that McDonald's just copies everything and sticks a "Mc" in front of it. I don't think I'll ever go back to this McDonald's again except for a drink! On the "Happy Price Menu" the McAloo Tikki would be something spicy with potato, the Veg Pizza McPuff is vegetarian only, and the soft serve, iced tea and Coke float you will understand. The Happy Price is 23 rupees, which is just over 50 cents!
Abby and Andrew,
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog! I can hardly wait to visit you there and see these interesting things myself. We are missing you here, and being able to keep up with you through your blog helps a lot..
Love,
Granddaddy
I'm glad you were able to comment! I think that the blog helps too. It's good to know that people can communicate with us without having to wait for the three weeks that the non-priority international mail takes! We love you and miss you too!

Mr. Leines said a 50 cent happy meal sounded GREAT to him and we should move to Bangalore. Then I told him everything was McSpicy and he said "maybe not!". I thought you might laugh about this!! It's fun reading about your adventure through your green eyes! I know it must be a lot of mixed feelings, but I also know your GREAT BIG GOD has a wonderful plan for each of you! Keep watching for Him! He delights in YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying sharing your experiences with you. Keep blogging so we can learn about all your adventures. I especially like the puppy pictures. Bree would love to play with each of them. We will continue to pray for you.
ReplyDeleteWe miss seeing you.
